The tracks here represent some of the potential for Underscore work. Whilst they have not been written to picture, they do still showcase the composers aptitude for work in a cinematic style. Due to they fact they are not specifically written for a visual source they do not possess some of the traits of dramatic music – such as hits or phrasing of drama- but these are areas the composer is well versed in and can bring to any project should it serve the film and directors needs. The bulk of the material is also written with a more forward thinking approach in terms of instrumentation and colour, but more traditional orchestration styles are not out of his realm. In fact this is one area Phil is knowledgeable of and keen to explore on future projects
